When Chance’s weight lifted off him, Brook rolled onto his back, the slippery tile cold and messy. He propped himself on his elbows and watched Chance strip the condom and throw it in the trash.

Chance had unleashed wildly inside him, and Brook had loved every moment of it. There was a slither of uneasiness in the air now. Chance snapped his towel off the floor, gaze flittering everywhere but Brook.

“Where are you going?” Brook asked with a beckoning smile.

Chance hesitated. A step in the right direction. “Where do you think? To clean up.”

“Come back here.”

“It’s messy.”

The floor? Or the situation? “I want to wrap my arms around you, scoot you against me. Bathe in the after bliss.”

Chance swayed forward and shook his head. “Can’t.”

Brook pushed himself to his feet and took Chance’s hands. “Can’t or won’t?”
